Dr. Eric J. Day was born in 1983 in Washington, PA. He graduated from Trinity High School in 2001. After graduation he enrolled at Slippery Rock University where he obtained his B.S. in Exercise Science in 2006. Upon graduation from Slippery Rock University Dr. Day enrolled at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida Campus. He began pursuing his dream of helping others through chiropractic care. He graduated with his Doctorate of Chiropractic in September of 2009. After working at two other offices in the Pittsburgh area, Dr. Day decided to open his own practice to improve the lives of others through chiropractic care. Dr. Day is proficient in many chiropractic techniques and prides himself in individualized care plans for each patient depending on their presenting symptoms and the care they will need.
While at Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Day joined 30 other classmates for a clinic abroad trip to the country of Fiji. There he traveled with the group from village to village treating anyone from a few months old to 90 years old. The group treated people in local schools and could not treat the patients fast enough. “It was an amazing and life changing experience”, says Dr. Day. The people of Fiji do not have a healthcare system, so to see student doctors come from the United States to care for them was incredible. Dr. Day still says those 14 days there were the most humbling and life-changing days of his life.
Dr. Day first got into the chiropractic profession as a patient in high school. After years of suffering from headaches he received his first adjustment and has not stopped getting adjusted since. His headaches were finally gone, he was concentrating better in school, sleeping better, and felt much less stress in his life. Chiropractic care changed his life and it motivates him everyday to do the same to others in the community. Dr. Day strives to improve and update his chiropractic knowledge to give the people of Sewickley, Edgeworth, and surrounding communities the most up-to-date chiropractic care and techniques. Dr. Day and Day Chiropractic and Wellness Center strongly believe in getting sick people well, and once well, keeping them that way!
